Join a nationwide family of companies that specializes in creating and maintaining luxury outdoor living spaces. As a Landscape Maintenance Team Leader in Indianapolis, IN, you’ll perform all facets of landscape maintenance.


Responsibilities


  • Direct and coordinate account activities and daily tasks as assigned
  • Responsible for successfully running landscaping and estate maintenance crew throughout each season (fall and spring clean-up, edging, mulching, pool openings, patio furniture placement and storage, cleaning gutters, washing windows, leaf pick-up and removal) 
  • Ensure the management and maintenance of total property care
  • Ensure work is progressing on schedule and within budget
  • Accurately execute duties designed for lawn, landscape, and ground maintenance
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail
  • Follow and enforce the proper operation and safety procedures for turf equipment and trailering, as well as ensuring safety among all associates
  • Develop ability to analyze account needs and execute efficient and effective procedures
  • Maintain quality initiatives without forgoing time management constraints
  • Regularly communicate project status and exceptions to management in a timely fashion
  • Communicate and assist in resolving discrepancies and changes in job progression to ensure client satisfaction
  • Responsible for inventory management and control of supplies, materials and products as it relates to landscape maintenance
  • Assist and participate in client events / parties, holiday set-ups and tear downs as needed
  • Assist in snow removal and ice melting
  • Assist team in completing invoice sheets and various shop duties
  • Become the “client expert” by knowing client’s needs, preferences, likes, dislikes, long and short term objectives
  • Follow through with commitments and customer requests
  • Directly supervise full and part-time team members.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws
  • Train associates
  • Planning, assigning and directing work
  • Providing informal and frequent feedback, motivating, guiding, coaching, mentoring, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Generate open communication and feedback to coworkers and associates.


Requirements


  • Knowledge of pool, irrigation, and total property care
  • Knowledge of plant care and identification
  • Knowledge of common diseases and pest insects
  • Abe to see the “big picture” on a property and offer suggestions for improvement or further enhancements
  • Organization, storage and care for company’s property and equipment
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to present oneself in a professional manner to clients, and respond quickly and efficiently to client requests
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A) from a four-year college or university program and 3 to 5 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in lawn care, turf management, pools and irrigation preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in verbal and written communications, analytical thinking, organization and planning, problem solving, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Sufficient experience mowing, edging, trimming, weed whipping, irrigation, pool maintenance, fertilization, chemical application, and other related areas of proficiency
  • Ability to maintain client relations
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to solve problem
  • Chemical applicators license
  • Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
  • Able to perform the physical demands of the job


Compensation


  • $25-$30 / hour or $60,000-$65,000 per year—based on experience
