This Climbing Arborist position offers a skilled aerial professional the opportunity to execute complex tree care operations and mentor the next generation of arborists. Reporting to branch leadership, the primary objective is to deliver precision climbing and technical rigging while preparing to step into a Crew Lead role.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting compensation of $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
  • Full-time, year-round employment with Monday-Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-level pruning and complex tree removals using advanced climbing, rigging, and aerial lift techniques.
  • Operate essential arboriculture equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, stump grinders, and bucket trucks.
  • Direct ground crews and manage daily job site efficiency to optimize daily production.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, communicating directly with homeowners to ensure top-tier service delivery expectations are exceeded.
  • Foster a strict "safety-first" culture while properly maintaining all equipment.


Requirements

  • Demonstrate a proven track record in professional tree climbing and technical rigging within residential or commercial environments, rather than solely utility line-clearing backgrounds.
  • Showcase mastery of modern climbing gear (SRT/SRS or MRS) and strict adherence to aerial safety standards.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with the ability to obtain DOT certification.
  • Maintain a professional, clean-cut appearance that aligns with the organization's strict non-tobacco policy and cultural presentation standards.
  • Exhibit physical stamina to work aloft for extended periods, lift over 50 lbs., and perform in diverse weather conditions.
  • Pass all safety-sensitive employment contingencies, including a drug screen, criminal background check, MVR check, and applicable DOT physicals.
