Metro Detroit landscape company with very aggressive growth goals is looking for a salesperson to drive business development. The company is open to candidates without landscaping experience; however, the ideal candidate will have sufficient industry experience to execute a full-cycle sales process, including: generating opportunities, meeting with prospects and clients, accurately estimating time and materials, preparing proposals, presenting and finally closing.


Responsibilities

  • Call on property managers, apartment complexes, and other buyers of commercial landscaping and snow services
  • Document prospecting and sales activity
  • Meet with prospects and clients to understand their landscaping needs
  • Prepare estimates and proposals and present to prospect or client
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
  • Represent the company in a professional manner
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as necessary to advance the company


Requirements

  • Must be able to handle rejection in the course of prospecting
  • Must be willing to make cold calls using the phone and email
  • Must have strong communication ability both written and verbal
  • Able and willing to work at office in Oak Park, MI. This is not a remote position
  • Strong knowledge of commonly used local plants, trees, and landscape materials (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of common landscaping practices and procedures (preferred)
  • Previous B2B sales experience (preferred)
  • Experience selling to or working with property managers (preferred)
  • Basic computer & technology use ability


Compensation

  • Base salary plus commission
  • Uncapped earning potential
  • Compensation offer based on experience and ability
