The St. Louis Metro area's experts in outdoor living is looking for a Landcare Crew Leader (Landscape Maintenance Crew Leader). The Landcare Crew Leader is responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the organization, specifically in areas of the Landcare division by providing a variety of landscaping services, managing their crew & job tasks, along with training new crew members. Must be comfortable working independently and within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily tasks safely, and with a high level of professionalism & quality
- Plans and organizes the day's route, ensuring that sufficient resources and materials are available, and completes it in the most time-efficient manner
- Performs a wide variety of horticultural tasks to ensure an attractive landscape and an optimal level of plant health, including weed control, certain perennial cultural practices, pruning, pest treatments, and other routine lawn-care activities
- Installs landscape & planting projects
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site, trucks, equipment, and shop areas
- Ensures completing tasks at all properties is done well, organized, and completed on a priority basis and within the parameters established for the account
- Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to trucks, and trailer combinations, weed eaters, plant augers, lawn mowers, blowers, and various other power equipment
- Makes key decisions planning daily tasks and delegates to crew members accordingly
- Diagnoses problems and makes recommendations for their improvement
- Diagnoses pest issues, makes recommendations, and/or takes remedial action as directed by standard company policy or management
- Manages and leads crew members
- Manages a team of two or more employees, including handling personnel issues on-site and training employees on quality of work, proper protocols, and policies and procedures
- Provides training for new crew members
- Supports team members with continued knowledge and training for continued growth in their position and the company
- Communicates daily with operations team
- Considers improvements to accounts and makes recommendations to management
- Attend and participate in weekly huddles, monthly training sessions, and monthly One Team meeting

Requirements
- A high school diploma required
- Two-year degree in Horticulture--preferred
- 3+ years experience in the landscaping field
- 1+ years experience in crew leadership
- A valid driver’s license
- Excellent problem-solving skills
