About the Position
Reporting to the Plant Healthcare Manager, this hybrid role combines field operations with office-based management duties. The successful candidate will gain hands-on mentorship while managing client relationships, technical treatments, and operational logistics.
Responsibilities

Execute Treatments: Perform residential spraying, soil injections, trunk injections, and other similar services, mostly within a 15-mile radius of the Sudbury office.

Drive Sales: Meet with clients to diagnose issues, answer questions, and identify upsell opportunities for additional plant health services.

Manage Administration: Create detailed proposals and maintain accurate records of applications and site visits.

Learn & Lead: Shadow the current manager to master department operations, aiming to transition into a full leadership role over the next few years.

Operate Technology: Utilize industry-standard software (moving to Aspire) for tracking jobs and client data.

Ensure Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols regarding chemical handling, PPE, and equipment maintenance.
Requirements

Licensing: Must possess a valid Massachusetts Pesticide Applicator Certification (Category 36 – Shade Trees & Ornamentals) upon hiring.

Experience: Preferred 3+ years of experience in plant health care, horticulture, or a related field.

Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to homeowners in a friendly, professional manner.

Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with landscape software (SingleOps, Aspire, or similar) is a strong plus.

Mentality: A teachable attitude with a genuine desire for career growth and leadership development.

Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 Base Salary (Dependent on experience).
