Our client is seeking a creative and driven Residential Landscape Designer to design, present, and oversee the development of high-end residential landscape projects. 


Based in Clinton Township, MI, our client is a premier residential landscaping business that has been transforming luxury outdoor living spaces since 1978. Providing comprehensive landscape, hardscape, and proactive maintenance services across Metro Detroit, they offer a highly stable and respected environment. The ideal candidate will love collaborating with a talented team to maintain some of the most beautiful residential landscapes in the region.


Responsibilities

  • Meet with new and existing clients to assess their needs for landscaping projects and maintenance sales.
  • Design comprehensive landscape plans that meet client needs while artistically enhancing their property.
  • Calculate take-offs accurately and generate project estimates using QuickBooks software.
  • Draft contracts, process change orders, and collect deposits, draws, and final payments from clients.
  • Determine job costs for projects using timesheets provided by the landscape installation crews.
  • Manage sold projects by overseeing site preparation, resolving drainage issues, and handling elevation changes.
  • Ensure the completion of plans, client meetings, and projects in a timely manner and on schedule.


Requirements

  • Hold a degree in landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field, accompanied by proven sales experience. Junior and associate-level candidates are highly encouraged to apply!
  • Possess a strong understanding of landscape design techniques, tools, and principles to produce precision plans and renderings.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of AutoCAD-based programs (specifically Dynascape), Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and Vray.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Manage projects efficiently and effectively delegate responsibilities to the installation team members.
  • Maintain a clean driving record, possess a valid driver’s license, and follow all safety procedures.

  • Starting salary at $70,000 plus commission, commensurate with experience.
