This Landscape Operations Manager role serves as a crucial leadership position overseeing landscape construction and field operations across multiple sites. The primary objective is to effectively manage field crews, coordinate high-quality projects, and ensure all sites are well-prepared so teams remain productive and successful every day. Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple landscape and hardscape crews daily to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output.
- Coordinate project scheduling, manpower, material logistics, and equipment allocation to maximize field efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Monitor job progress, quality standards, and timelines through regular site visits and system tracking tools like Jobber or CompanyCam.
- Collaborate seamlessly with office staff, sales teams, and suppliers to proactively identify change orders, upsell opportunities, and potential issues.
- Train, develop, and hold field staff accountable, ensuring crews consistently maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites.
- Execute accurate administrative tracking of project progress, labor hours, and completion photos.
- Direct winter operations by assisting with snow management and emergency weather responses as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of landscaping, 5 years of lawn care, 4 years of hardscape, and 6 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple crews and projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to interpret plans, layouts, and job scopes while understanding grading, drainage, planting, and general construction practices.
- Valid driver’s license required, with a Chauffeur’s license strongly preferred (or the ability to obtain one).
- Willingness to work outdoors in various conditions and travel between job sites daily.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred; proficiency in Spanish is highly advantageous.
- Prior experience utilizing field management systems such as Jobber or CompanyCam is a significant plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- $65,000 - $85,000 per year, based on experience
